Myeong-dong is a popular destination for tourists, as it offers a wide variety of travel necessities such as shopping, dining, and hotels all in one place. One of the must-visit spots if you visit Myeong-dong is the Molto Espresso Bar.

If you’re looking for a great spot to take in the beauty of Myeong-dong Cathedral, Molto Italian Espresso Bar is definitely worth checking out. Located across from the Cathedral, it offers a unique vantage point to admire the iconic structure. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of the Namsan Tower, which is not visible from the street. This makes it a popular spot among Koreans for photography. In this blog post, I’ll introduce you to Molto Cafe, and provide some helpful tips for your visit.

Molto Italian Espresso Bar is a popular spot. So it can get quite busy on weekends and evenings. A staff will come out from the entrance and assist you. After waiting in the line on the first floor, you will be guided by the staff to the cafe on the third floor.

If you want to avoid the wait, I recommend visiting during the opening hours on weekdays. That’s what I did and I was able to get in without any wait. And I recommend this way for you to avoid waiting in line.

Molto Italian Espresso Bar menu

The espresso menu is the representative menu of the espresso bar. We drank Molto’s signature menu, cafe sale. For reference, caffe sale is a menu with cream and salt in espresso, and pepe is a menu with pepper instead of salt. I also ordered decaf coffee, caffe orzo. Please note that caffe orzo is barley coffee and tastes different from regular decaffeinated coffee.

The cannonccini is also famous dessert, and it seemed like customers ordered a lot of cannonccini sets that come with 3 flavors.

After ordering, you can head out to the terrace by following the path to the right.

To ensure the safety of its customers, Molto Italian Espresso Bar has implemented limitations on the number of people allowed inside and the hours of operation. Each customer is allotted 90 minutes inside the cafe, including time for taking photos. However, please note that the photo spot itself has a time limit of 1 minute for taking a picture.

Molto Italian Espresso Bar Terrace

From there, you’ll be able to take in the incredible view of Myeongdong Cathedral and Namsan Tower. While it may be too cold to sit on the terrace during winter or too hot during summer, it’s a lovely spot to take in the view when the weather is nice. If you have some time in Myeongdong, I highly recommend making a stop at Molto Italian Espresso Bar.
