If you’re planning a trip to Bangkok, you’ve likely heard of Jeh O Chula. Known for its long lines and popularity among locals, I was eager to try it during my Bangkok, Thailand trip. However, the restaurant was far from my accommodation, and I didn’t want to wait in line, so I opted for delivery.

How to Order

In Thailand, food delivery is commonly done through the Line Man app. However, Jeh O Chula takes orders via Line Messenger. Here’s how you can order:

  1. Install Line Messenger: If you don’t already have Line Messenger, download and sign up.
  2. Add Jeh O Chula as a Friend: Use the following link to add Jeh O Chula’s account as a friend or search for the profile directly.
  3. Place Your Order in English: Send a message to ask if you can place an order. They will ask for your accommodation details and phone number. If you don’t have a Thai SIM card, provide your hotel’s phone number and request to be contacted via Line Messenger.

The menu can be accessed via this link. With a variety of options, it might take a while to decide, so have an idea of what you want beforehand. You can type your order in the chat or send screenshots of the desired menu items.

I ordered three items: Mama Tom Yum Ramen, Salmon Salad, and Fried Pork Neck.

  • Mama Tom Yum Ramen: 160 THB
  • Salmon Salad (Small): 300 THB
  • Fried Pork Neck (Small): 100 THB
  • Delivery Fee: 90 THB
  • Total: 650 THB

After placing your order, they will confirm the price and estimated delivery time. Payment is made in cash to the delivery person.

In fact, I had mistakenly checked my cell phone number and wrote down a strange number, so the driver couldn’t call me, and I was informed via messenger that he was waiting in the hotel lobby.

My Experience

Despite a small hiccup with my phone number, the delivery person contacted me via Line Messenger and informed me they were waiting in the hotel lobby.

Mama Tom Yum Ramen:

The soup was delivered separately to keep the noodles from getting soggy.

Jeh O Chula Bangkok Tom Yum Ramen

The flavor was familiar yet milder than traditional Tom Yum Goong, making it enjoyable for those who prefer less intense spice.

The noodles, however, were slightly soggy.

Salmon Salad from Jeh O Chula Bangkok

Salmon Salad

Fresh salmon with a spicy garlic and chili sauce. The strong flavor suggested it would be best enjoyed with rice, which I recommend ordering as well.

Fried Pork Neck from Jeh O Chula Bangkok

Fried Pork Neck

Crispy and flavorful, though some pieces were a bit dry. The sweet soy sauce was a nice touch, but the quality of the meat seemed inconsistent.

Overall, I was pleased to taste the famous dishes without the long wait. If you’re considering trying Jeh O Chula, delivery is a convenient option.
