As Khaosan Road is a famous tourist destination, it is also home to many famous restaurants. Here are two of the most famous noodle restaurants on Khaosan Road. Nai Soie, famous for its Beef noodles, and Khun Daeng, famous for its sticky noodles. These two Khaosan Road Noodle Restaurant are very close to each other, so you can visit them together.
1. Nai Soie Beef Noodle
Nai Soie is a restaurant I visited a few years ago when I was in Bangkok. And I remember enjoying it very much, so I went back to try it again. Restaurant is famous for its short rib noodles, and the sign is in Korean. Since I went during off-peak hours, there weren’t many customers, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal.
The menu is basically a choice of noodles, followed by a choice of toppings. Nai Soie is more expensive than Bangkok’s noodle restaurants. The noodles usually don’t cost more than 100 baht, but the price difference isn’t huge, and they pack the noodles with meat, so it didn’t feel expensive.
I chose the wide rice noodles and A1 as my toppings, and ordered a chai tea on the side. The B1 is the most recommended option because it has short ribs. So I’ll try the B1 next time.
Thai noodle restaurants typically serve the noodles almost immediately after ordering. They served the noodles almost immediately after ordering. It was really delicious, with tender meat boiled for a long time in a rich meat broth without any spices, tasting very similar to galbi tang, which is something Koreans would like.
The chai tea had sugar sweetening, but it was brewed strong. So, I found satisfaction in both the consistency and flavor, even compared to the Chatramu Chai Tea with milk.
2. Khun Daeng’s Vietnamese Noodle
Kundang Kua Yee Chop Yuan, which sells sticky noodles, is located right in front of the hostel, so I often saw it as I passed by. It’s a popular place, so there were always delivery motorbikes waiting to pick up food.
Compared to Nai Soi, I found the menu at this place more affordable, and I opted for the most basic noodle soup (#1). However, I believe it would have been even more delicious with an extra egg (#2).
They serve the sticky noodles in a specialized, slightly long, vermicelli-like noodle. The texture is unique, so one might either like or dislike it, but personally, I enjoyed it. The soup, slightly thick due to the specialized noodles, was clean and delicious, without any spices.
The noodles came with various garnishes such as sausages and meatballs, accompanied by a zesty sauce to enhance each flavor. Enjoying it amidst the hot weather and sweating while sitting on the street, it was truly delicious.
There are also a variety of condiments on the side, so you can add them and enjoy different flavors.
These are two famous Khaosan Road Noodle Restaurant where you can enjoy delicious noodles at affordable prices. If you’re visiting Khaosan Road, I highly recommend you check them out.
