The Hyundai Seoul is a bustling and popular destination in Seoul, always teeming with people eager to indulge in its culinary delights. However, the long queues at popular restaurants can be off-putting. Fortunately, I have a solution for you! I’ve curated a menu from The Hyundai Seoul Food Court that allows you to enjoy a delectable meal without enduring lengthy waits. This menu not only offers unique and authentic Korean flavors.
Location of The Hyundai Seoul Food Court
You can find The Hyundai Seoul Food Court conveniently located on the B1 floor. It features a seating area where you can enjoy your meal, surrounded by various individual restaurants.
Keep in mind that most restaurant signs at The Hyundai Seoul Food Court are in Korean, which might pose a challenge in identifying them. However, don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with our helpful recommendations.
How to Place Your Order at The Hyundai Seoul Food Court
You have two options for ordering. Using the kiosk or approaching the service counter.
The kiosk supports English, making it easy for you to peruse the menu and choose your desired dishes. However, if you opt for the kiosk, be aware that you’ll need to enter a Korean phone number. This requirement is due to the system sending a text message to notify you when your food is ready for pickup. Unfortunately, this poses a challenge for tourists without a Korean phone number.
If you don’t have Korean phone number, placing your order at service counter is the way to go. Once you’ve placed your order, the restaurant will provide you with a notification bell, ensuring you’re alerted when your food is ready. Once the bell vibrates, head to the designated food section to collect your order.
While ordering at the service counter, you might encounter a language barrier as the menu information is only available in Korean. To overcome this obstacle, the department store staff will gladly assist you by taking a picture of your desired menu on the kiosk and guiding you through the ordering process.
Grilled Pork Belly Set(Doljang Gak)
Indulge in the most beloved BBQ menu in Korea – the pork belly set meal. This dish offers a unique opportunity to savor Korean-style pork belly BBQ. While you won’t be grilling the meat yourself, you can still enjoy the experience of serving it yourself and partake in Ssam, a distinctive Korean way of eating meat.
- How to Enjoy Ssam
Ssam is a delightful method of combining meat or rice with various seasonings and wrapping them in lettuce or other vegetables. Customize your ssam by adding meat and rice according to your preference, and top it off with a dollop of ssamjang (a delicious dipping sauce). You can also relish the meat by dipping it directly into the ssamjang sauce.
- Soy Bean Paste Soup(doenjangjjigae)
Experience the comforting flavors of home-style cuisine with soybean paste soup. Made with Doenjang, a traditional Korean seasoning, this dish carries a mild spiciness from chili powder. It’s so popular that you’ll even find specialized restaurants dedicated solely to serving soybean paste stew. It pairs perfectly with rice and is often ordered at BBQ meat restaurants like pork belly.
Jajangmyeon(black bean sauce noddles) and Sweet and Sour Pork Set
Delight in the tantalizing world of Korean Chinese cuisine with the classic duo of jajangmyeon (black bean paste noodles) and sweet and sour pork. These dishes have become long-standing favorites among Koreans. While Korean Chinese food may differ from its Chinese counterparts, it offers a unique flavor that can only be experienced in Korea. If you prefer non-spicy dishes or wish to explore beyond traditional Korean cuisine, this set is an excellent choice.
- Jajangmyeon(black bean sauce noddles)
At first glance, jajangmyeon may appear as simple black noodles, but its delectable taste will undoubtedly win you over. These noodles are complemented by a savory, slightly sweet sauce and springy noodles that provide both umami and sweetness. Our recommendation even features a twist with green noodles infused with chlorella.
- Tangsuyug(Sweet and Sour Pork)
Enjoy the crispy, golden delight of sweet and sour pork. Tender pieces of pork are fried in a light, crispy batter and glazed with a sweet sauce. While it can be savored as a standalone dish, it is commonly served as a side dish alongside other entrees.
- Jjamppong(Spicy Seafood noodle)
In addition to jajangmyeon, The Hyundai Seoul Food Court also offers jjamppong, a noodle dish immersed in a spicy red soup. This delectable dish features a seafood-based broth, making it a favorite among Koreans, alongside jajangmyeon. Be prepared for a spicy kick, and if you’re confident in handling heat, I highly recommend giving jjamppong a try.
Cheese Tonkatsu
Pork cutlets are a beloved menu item worldwide, and Korea has its own style Pork Cutlet. This delightful dish originated from Koreanized Western restaurants and features fried pork cutlets topped with savory worcestershire Sauce based pork cutlet sauce. Satisfying and enjoyable, it offers a taste of Korea’s culinary fusion. For an extra indulgence, try the version with cheese added to the regular pork cutlet.

Please note that The Hyundai Seoul Food Court operates on a self-service basis, including returning dishes. Make sure to locate the designated area at the back of the food court to return your dishes.
