Let me introduce you to the S31 Sukhumvit Hotel Bangkok, where I stayed on the last night of my Thailand trip. I wanted a comfortable and luxurious place to wrap up my vacation, and S31 Sukhumvit Hotel perfectly fit the bill. This 5-star hotel offers spacious rooms, breakfast, and a pool at an affordable price, all in a prime location for exploring Bangkok.
S31 Sukhumvit Hotel Location
S31 Sukhumvit Hotel is ideally located between BTS Asok Station, near Terminal 21, and BTS Phrom Phong Station, near EmQuartier. Both stations are about a 10-minute walk away. Being on the main road makes the hotel easy to find.
Although it might be a bit challenging to walk with heavy luggage from the station, it’s a pleasant walk without heavy bags. I took a taxi to check in, but I walked around the area for sightseeing. Convenience stores along the way made it easy to grab snacks.
Check-In Information
Check-In Time: 2:00 PM
Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM
Uniquely, the check-in at S31 Hotel is on the 8th floor, but there is a concierge on the 1st floor for luggage storage and other services.
The spacious 8th-floor lobby welcomes guests with elegant decor, giving a sense of being well-cared-for in a 5-star setting. The pool is adjacent to the lobby, offering a picturesque view.
The check-in time of 2 PM and check-out time of 12 PM provided ample flexibility. On my departure day, I stored my luggage after check-out, toured the city, and then collected my bags from the 1st-floor concierge before heading to the airport, making the process seamless.
S31 Sukhumvit Deluxe Room
After check-in, I headed to my room on the 11th floor. Access to the guest floors requires a key card, ensuring security.
My Deluxe Room exceeded expectations with its spacious layout and large bed, providing a comfortable stay. The room also had a connecting door to the adjacent room, but there were no noise issues.
The room featured a wardrobe, refrigerator, microwave, and a kitchenette. The inclusion of a microwave was a pleasant surprise, making it convenient to reheat food.
The large refrigerator with a freezer compartment was perfect for storing snacks from nearby convenience stores.
Complimentary water, tea, and coffee capsules were provided, along with a capsule coffee machine. The minibar stocked snacks, alcohol, and beverages, though these were chargeable, so I didn’t indulge.
The bathroom was equally spacious and well-equipped with amenities.
My room overlooked the hotel pool, surrounded by tall buildings and some construction sites, so the view was not particularly scenic.
Hotel Facilities
The hotel’s 9th floor houses a fitness center with ample space and equipment.
Towels and water are provided, so there’s no need to bring your own.
However, the air conditioning was not very strong, making it a bit warm. Interestingly, the fitness center also had a boxing ring, adding a touch of Thai culture.
I then explored the pool, located between the 8th and 9th floors. The outdoor pool features transparent walls, perfect for photos.
Despite the hotel’s busy location, the pool area was usually quiet, with no more than five guests at a time, allowing for a leisurely swim.
Breakfast
Breakfast at S31 Sukhumvit Hotel is served at S’CAFE on the 6th floor.
The spacious and comfortable dining area was never crowded, providing a relaxed atmosphere.
The buffet offered a wide range of options including ham, cheese, various salads, sausages, bacon, French toast, pancakes, and my newfound favorite, pandan cream.
Hot dishes like stir-fried meat and chicken were also available. Of course, no Thai hotel breakfast would be complete without a noodle soup station.
A selection of fruits, cereals, yogurt, bread, cakes, and coffee rounded out the meal, exceeding my expectations.
Booking Price
I used to book a deluxe room at the S31 Sukhumvit hotel for around $70 USD, and it’s still around the same price point today. If you’re interested in checking hotel prices based on your schedule, check out the links below.
