3. My Methavalai Sorndaeng Dining Experience
I started with a classic: Crab Fried Rice. It was a generous portion, packed with flavorful crab meat. A perfect, safe choice! And, of course, I couldn’t resist a refreshing Tangmo Ban (watermelon shake). While a bit pricey at 95 baht, it was the perfect complement to the meal.
Now, for the adventurous part… I ordered the Stir-fried Catfish with Chili, remembering a similar (but sweet) dish from Phuket. Important Note: The staff did warn me about the spiciness. I enjoy spicy food, so I proceeded. However, this dish was very different from what I expected. It wasn’t sweet at all, and it featured a strong, unfamiliar spice blend.
