Introducing a GONGGANGAB cafe located at Euljiro 3-ga Station. It’s a short walk from Myeongdong, so if you’re looking for a cafe with a cute interior and delicious desserts, this is the place to go. The lattes and pudding shaved ice are especially popular among local Koreans.

1. Location / Opening Hours

Close to Euljiro Station, 3-ga Station, Exit 11. You’ll have to turn into an alleyway from the main street to find it, so be sure to study the map carefully.

It’s a 15-minute walk from Myeongdong Station, so it’s a great place to stop by after a day of sightseeing in Myeongdong.

2. Waiting

GONGGANGAB Cafe

When there are a lot of people, there may be a wait, which is why there is a 2-hour limit on weekends.

Especially, the store does not check if there is a seat available, so if it is crowded, it is recommended to reserve a seat in advance and order a menu. Otherwise, you may not be able to find a place to sit and pick up your menu.

I visited during the daytime on a weekday, when there were very few customers, so I was able to enjoy a leisurely coffee.

3. GONGGANGAB 1F / Counter

The store is divided into the first and second floors. The first floor is where you can order drinks and desserts, and the second floor is a seating area for coffee.

On the left side of the counter, there were mock-ups of the menu and some merchandise for sale.

On the right side, there were some magnets for customers to sit on, but it wasn’t very spacious. I recommend going up to the second floor to get drinks and desserts, as it’s more spacious and has more seats.

4. GONGGANGAB Menu/Pricing

The menu is divided into drinks and desserts.

GONGGANGAB Cafe Menu

The menu is in English, but it’s not fully translated, so you may have trouble understanding it. However, there is a model of the desserts on the left, so you can refer to it when ordering.

GONGGANGAB Cafe Dessert

The signature menu includes lattes and other non-coffee drinks such as tea.

For dessert, the most popular item is the vanilla custard pudding mirin, and the kaimak scone also seemed to be popular.

I couldn’t get the pudding shaved ice, so I ordered something else. By the way, the most popular menu items are available even in winter, so it’s recommended to try them when you visit.

5. GONGGANGAB Store 2F

I took my drinks and dessert upstairs with me. After exiting the store on the first floor, you can take the stairs on the left. The stairs were steep, so you might want to be careful when carrying food.

The store itself on the second floor was cozy, well decorated, and photogenic.

However, there were no comfortable chairs for the magnets, and the space was narrow, so I think it might be uncomfortable if there were a lot of customers. However, it was nice that it was empty and relaxing when I went.

6. Gateau Cake / Latte

GONGGANGAB Cafe

I ordered the Gateau, a green tea chocolate cake, and one of their signature drinks, a space milk coffee.

The cake was sweet and rich with a dense green tea chocolate cake topped with light whipped cream, and I enjoyed it very much. As for the latte, I couldn’t taste much of the richness of the milk due to the ice melting, but it was a savory and delicious latte.
