The hotel I’m introducing today is the Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel. I first stayed here during my last visit to Sapporo and was so impressed that I chose to return again on this trip.
1. Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel Location
Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel is ideally located for exploring Sapporo. It’s right on the main Susukino street, surrounded by famous eateries.
After a day of sightseeing, you can easily find great places to dine or pop into the convenience store. The hotel even has a 7-Eleven on the ground floor, which was incredibly convenient.
2. Check-In Counter
Check-in starts at 14:00
Check-out by 11:00
Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel check-in counter is located on the 2nd floor. After entering the hotel, you can take the escalator or stairs. The escalator’s direction changes depending on the time, but there’s always an elevator nearby if needed.
The lobby on the 2nd floor is spacious and well-arranged for guests who arrive early and need to wait comfortably.
Although there was a self-check-in kiosk, I completed the process with the front desk staff. The early check-in time at 2 PM was a welcome benefit. Basic amenities were provided in the room, and extra items like razors were available in the lobby.
A unique feature I appreciated was the complimentary coffee drip bags, which were perfect for a warm cup of coffee in the morning.
3. Standard Twin Room
The room I stayed in at the Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel is a Standard Twin Room. To access the guest rooms, you need to use your room key to operate the elevator. I had reserved a twin room, which was more spacious than typical Japanese business hotels. This extra space was helpful for storing luggage.
The room had a humidifying air purifier, a handy addition for the dry winter air. Pajamas were also provided in the drawer, a thoughtful touch for guests.
The bathroom was a highlight for me. It had a large vanity area with toiletries like toothbrushes and combs, and the glass-door-separated shower and bathtub made it feel spacious and relaxing—a great spot to unwind after a long day.
4. Hotel Facilities
On the 8th floor, there’s a laundry room with machines that handle both washing and drying. These machines automatically dispense detergent and softener, which made doing laundry hassle-free. Additionally, payment could be made via transportation cards like Suica, which was a convenient feature.
5. Hotel Access
For security, Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel entrance requires a keycard after a certain hour. Late-night access is available only with a room key.
6. Breakfast Buffet
Breakfast Hour : 7:00 to 10:30
(Entry closes at 9:45)
I booked my accommodation including hotel breakfast, which is served as a buffet in the dining room next to the stairs on the first floor.
I used the meal ticket I received upon check-in, which costs ¥1,870 if you pay at the door.
I visited in the late afternoon, around 9:00 p.m. There were quite a few diners in the restaurant, but it wasn’t crowded, so I was able to find a comfortable seat and enjoy a leisurely meal.
The buffet was a good mix of Japanese and Western food.
Sausage, pasta, bacon, and scrambled eggs
Unique rolled pizza
Grilled fish and rice
Soup curry, one of Sapporo’s signature dishes
A variety of Japanese side dishes, including egg rolls
Bread and butter jams and sweet puddings
Coffee corner and fresh juices
I especially liked the fresh smoothies with a variety of vegetables.
The breakfast wasn’t a huge variety of food items or anything special, but it was clean and tasty and made for a satisfying breakfast.
7. Booking & Pricing
I booked this hotel for around $80 USD per night (approx. $80 USD). Given its location and the spacious room, it felt like excellent value for the price. The hotel also has smoking rooms, so if you’re a non-smoker, be cautious when booking to avoid a room with smoke smells.

In summary, I highly recommend Daiwa Roynet Sapporo Susukino Hotel for anyone looking for a budget-friendly, well-located hotel in Sapporo. The room quality, breakfast, and price all exceeded my expectations, and I’m glad I chose to stay here again.
